Chiao, Palembang!

i'm gonna leaving the town very soon.
now i'm heading to Muara Enim.
well, i never been there before.
this 'external duty' is a part of my clerkship at Obstetric & Gynecology Dept.

it's happy
because (finally) i got the chance to learn about Obgyn more from another hospital. they said 'stase luar' is the best part. well, i've tried it before at BARI hospital, Kertapati when i was at Internal Medicine Dept. and it was soooo HAPPY! i found myself as a real doctor. as a care provider, a decision maker, and a student at the same time.

it's so sad
it's so sad to find myself that separated from my fam, friends, all special persons of mine. okay, i cried once. i didnt intend to, but the tears just came out. i couldnt help it :(

Java Trip [part 2], Yogyakarta

like i told you before, second destination in this trip was Jogja! yep, city of Gudeg. we --Putri and me-- arrived there on Friday nite --by train. Rahmah --our high school friend-- picked us up. during those 3 days, we stayed at her home *how kind she is, huh?

on Saturday morning, Bonita --the other our high school friend-- joined us. so here they are, the 4 of us, explored some corners in Jogja.

Java Trip [part 1], Surabaya

actually i did this trip a month ago. first destination is Surabaya. then Jogja, Bandung, and Cirebon. i travelled by my self --okay, i just did it by my self from Jakarta to Surabaya, the rest i did it with a friend of mine, Putri. she has been living and studying in Surabaya since 2 years ago. so, i begged her to let me stay at her kost room *in the name of budget. lol

and here they are, some photos from the vacation in Surabaya. ahh, it was not only Putri and me. Ngge and Zikir also sticked around with us *thanks to Ngge as the guide and the driver :) :)

Patung Suro & Boyo, Tugu Pahlawan, House of Sampoerna

have you ever heard about the last one? well, House of Sampoerna is a 'house' that functioning as a production plant for Indonesia's most prestigious cigarette, Dji Sam Soe. the original central auditorium is now a museum and the east side has been transformed into a unique structure containing a cafe, a merchandise kiosk and an art gallery. oh gosh, from the second floor you can see cigarette making process by a lot of labors. yes, you can join the 2.900 women in this plant, hand-rolling cigarettes using traditional equipment! and the art gallery, don't miss it guys. it's a really worth place to visit. more about House of Sampoerna.

the next destination is Suramadu bridge. before we headed to there, we picked Nisa up -- a friend from elementary school of mine and Ngge's-- to joined us. wow, it's been soo a long time no see her. around 10 years i guess.

this is a bridge constructed between Surabaya on the island of Java and the town of Bangkalan on the island of Madura in Indonesia. there's a funny story behind our visit to Suramadu. we got the traffic punishment from police --or Dishub?-- because our car took the wrong way --fyi, we took that way because we intend to stop by then take some photos there. we had to pay Rp. 10.000 for the fine *oh crap. because of this incident, we just turn around, and walked away. thanks to the police for ruined our mood! >:(

then we headed to Zikir's home --her Granny's actually-- to Pempek --i brought it from Palembang--party! after all, as the persons who grew up in Palembang we still can't resist this food :D

the last destination is G-Walk. so many kind of food there. from Asian - Europe. and we ended up with chinese food.

red dot design museum

foto di atas gue ambil akhir tahun lalu. waktu itu gue iseng moto gedung ini cuma karna warnanya merah. gedung apa gue ga tau, berhubung waktu itu gue cuma lewat dan lagi buru-buru mau ke Little India. baru lah belakangan ini gue tau kalo gedung ini adalah sebuah museum. Red Dot Design Museum. berlokasi di 28 Maxwell Road, Red Dot Traffic, Singapore.

jadi nih, di museum ini digunakan untuk design exhibition, conferences, atau pun parties. disebut sebagai perwujudan dari penghargaan desain red dot, dan menjadi sebuah lokasi pameran eksklusif untuk para pemenang penghargaan desain red dot. di sinilah produk dan merek-merek mengkomunikasikan keunggulan desain mereka dan membedakan diri dari kalangan rata-rata. museum ini juga memberi orientasi penting terhadap bisnis, profesional desain dan konsumen mengenai apa dan siapa yang menjadi desain terbaik.

TERTARIK BERKUNJUNG?

berhubung gue lebih sering naik Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), gini nih, MRT station terdekat jaraknya skitar beberapa meter, naik East West Line (hijau) trus berhenti di Tanjong Pagar (EW15).
